Workshop: Practical frameworks for ethical design

Service Design Toronto (SDTO) and Bridgeable alumna Linn Vizard helped organize an exciting workshop at Bridgeable on May 30. This workshop, titled “Practical Frameworks for Ethical Design,” was facilitated by Majid Behboudi of Klick Health and Mazi Javidiani of RBC.

During the workshop, participants engaged in activities using systemic design tools to gauge the effectiveness of innovations. They introduced systemic design tools including implication wheels, or Nancy Bocken’s value mapping wheel, that help designers understand the second or third order impact of an innovation as well as how value created for one group of users can destroy value for another group of users. You can learn more about the framework and download the facilitators’ guide and presentation deck, as well as the Futures Wheel Canvas

A special thank you to Bridgeable alumnae Linn Vizard and Ashley Hui along with Bridger Hitomi Yokota for organizing a successful event!
