In March, Julie Man participated in panel about building and nurturing creativity in teams at SKETCHTalks Toronto! This winter, Bridgers Sara Legg and Mathieu Ranger were guest lecturers for Bridgeable alumna Heidi Mok’s class “Applying Design Research to Systems.” Mathieu shared some tips and tricks on how to use storytelling techniques to make presentations more compelling. Students learned about such things as the importance of editing, the power of the word “but,” and techniques for practicing your presentation.

In February, several Bridgers participated in this year’s Rotman Design Challenge, including Terri Block as a team coach, Nika Stelman and Jane Park as judges, and Bridgeable’s Founder, Chris Ferguson, as a finalist judge. Sponsored by Kingspan, a construction company specializing in high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions, the Design Challenge asked participating teams to envision how Kingspan might become a leader in the future of digital construction.
